Saving the olives
My main work today and yesterday was spraying about 500 olive trees with pesticides, so their younger leaves don't get destroyed by bugs. Basically, I spent several hours walking around the trees, spraying a gentle mist on them. I don't think there is any more relaxing job out there in the world!

The original plan was for me to leave the farm and go back to Jerusalem Thursday morning, because Erna was away on errands until then. (You can't leave a place like this abandoned, even for a few hours.) However but two guys showed up about 2:00 who had worked on the farm previously, and they committed to staying, so I caught the 4:30 bus (from Beit Shean) and got back home about 6ish. Now I have two days for errands and meetings before I leave to Efrat for Shabbat and PURIM!
From one adventure to the next...
